There are various jobs for the Electronics and Communication Engineers in the government sector. ECE is one of the best branches of Engineering which offers wide range of jobs. In the government sector you can apply for:


Indian Engineering Service

Public Sector Undertaking



You are eligible to appear for the Indian Engineering Service. This exam is conducted to recruit Engineers for various jobs in government departments. Union Public Service Commission conducts this exam on the annual basis. Candidates are recruited for some of the following departments:


Indian Railway Service of Engineers.

Central Engineering Service.

Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Civil Engineering Posts).

Indian Ordance Factories Services etc



Eligibility.

1. Candidate must be Indian.

2. B.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communications, Civil and Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

3. Final year students of B.Tech can also apply.

4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.



The other option in front of you is Public Sector Undertakings. You can apply for job in almost all the PSUs with Electronics and Communications Engineering degree. The criteria to apply for PSU is:



Eligibility

1. You must be of Indian origin.

2. A minimum of B.Tech degree.

3. At least 60 percent marks in B.Tech.

4. There should be no pending backlogs

5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

6. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.


If you meet the above criteria then apply for the PSU jobs. Mainly the Public Sector companies issues notification of the job online on their official website and at leading employment dailies. You will get complete information about the exam on the notification.


Before you apply for the PSU Exam,may I suggest that you also appear for the GATE entrance exam. Some companies have replaced written test with GATE score while other companies exempt candidates with good GATE score from appearing for the written test. A good GATE score can improve your chances.

There are various jobs available for B.Tech (ECE) in Electronics Companies but most of government companies offering jobs through written examination and followed by interview.

Electronics and Communication Engineering students of degree holders can apply for Steel Authority of India. BSNL, HTML, and Indian Engineering Service (IES). You can crack written examination by grip more concept related to technical field.

There is another way for clearing Written Examination that is you have to divide all topics into small portion and prepare well for examination

You can search large number of jobs opportunities in Private as well as Public sectors According to your interest in ECE field you can further continue your study in following certificate course.

1. Course in Embedded System

2. VLSI Certificate course

3. Post graduate in Mobile Computing

4. Optical Fiber Communication

Through b.Tech in ECE branch you can also apply for jobs in information technology company in the field of chip design and manufacturing chip designing firms.

As i am an ece student fresher graduated in Jun 2014 with 69.65%(no backlogs), 64.2% in 12th and 73.2% in 10th. I have few questions
1) As i am not getting any jobs, even if any jobs that are landing to my mail are al technical support jobs and HR to which i am not approved to go for.i am going through a lot of trauma and i am feeling what was the use of getting these marks.
2) Already i have wasted my 2 months waiting for a job. i am confused whether i should join a course??? If Yes then which 1 willl be good.
3) Should i go for IT sector or core jobs?
Plz suggest as soon as possible.

U have to apply gate,qualify for it also try for ongc,sail,bhel ,Bel and all psus when notification comes thru gate ,for Bel they shall recruit every 6 months directly u keep on searching fresher's job sites .u can try for bsnl. Jto
