You can find large number of opportunities after B.A.M.S. There are openings in various government hospitals, pharmaceutical labs, etc. You can find job opportunities in areas like health care community, clinical trials, etc. If you have interest in teaching field, you can find job opportunities in various government educational institutions as well. Another area for you is to work with NGO’s or with international agencies like WHO, etc.

those candidates who have done a course in Ayurveda can find a lot of lot of career opportunities in medical field. They are equally demanded in both public as well as private sector firms. Those who possess Bachelor degree in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery can get in to the job positions of Ayurvedic doctors. The vacancies arise in various government hospitals and health care centers (under central or state government). Ayurveda Therapist is another popular job profile available. Those with postgraduate qualifications such as MD in Ayurveda can get in to the designated job position of Medical Officer (BAMS graduates can also apply). For all these job positions, the candidate should go through the selection procedures fixed by government. Selection process includes written exams followed by interview. Examinations are carried out by state PSC or UPSC. Firms such as Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha, Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine & Research, etc are also in need of Ayurveda graduates. there is recruitment of bams doctors in Uttarakhnda state govt. but they specified that applicant should be from, r presently practising in Uttarakhand since last 1 year.But am from karanataka and passed out bams last year. as specified i know hindi, can i apply for that?

The options are endless provided you are interested in it.
You can opt for engineering as well as medical courses.
As a science student more scope is there in medical group .
After class 12th , you can give the AIIMS , AFMC , VMMC , AIPMT , BHU PMT , NIH exams and get into various fields of doctor such as homeopathy , allopathy , ayurveda etc.
If you are interested in civil services exams you can give the CSAT exam by UPSC and appear for the IAS/IPS exam.
You can also do B.Ed and get into the teaching field.

Is ayurveda is a part of medical System of India. If Yes then why it is considered as step mother and more less vacancies are not present.
