Re: Which group should I take for IAS?
Take any group that you like. You are free to select subjects in 12th and course for graduation. There is no specific course which you will have to complete in order to apply for the Indian Administrative Service.
You can apply for the Civil Services Examination only after completing graduation. Any 3-4 years graduation degree which is completed from a recognized college will be accepted when applying for the Civil Services Examination. Once you have completed graduation or are in final year, start the preparation for the Civil Services Examination. There is a lot of material available online which you can download. Among must download is the question papers of previous years. Try solving them out in the time allotted for the entrance exam and see what are your weaknesses. Only when you have prepared fully for the Civil Services Examination, apply for it. The forms are released either towards the end of the year or start of the year. The first set of written tests are conducted in May followed by second stage in August. Eligibility 1. Civil Services Examination requirement is that candidate should be of Indian origin. 2. He/She should have any under graduation degree. 3. You don't have to meet any percentage criteria. 4. Candidate should at least be 21 years old to apply. 5. Your age should be less than 30 years at the time of applying. Relaxation 1. OBC is given 3 years relaxation in upper age limit. 2. While SC/ST is given 5 years relaxation. It should be noted that there is no physical criteria for Indian Administrative Service. It exists for Indian Police Service. For IAS even Person with Disability can apply. There are some seats reserved for them. Selection Procedure 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam 3. Interview |

Re: Which group should I take for IAS?
In order to get into civil services like
IAS IPS IRS etc. One should have to crack civil services exam which is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year. The complete selection procedure is by CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) Civil Services Main Exam Interview Here is the eligibility criteria that candidates should possess to be eligible for this exam. One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also appear for this exam but they should be able to provide the completion of Graduation certificate by the time they appear for Interview. Age criteria: A candidate of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years. A candidate of OBC category should be in the age group of 21-33 years. Candidates from SC or ST category should be in the age group of 21-35 years. So, you can opt for the stream which you are interested in Graduation and try to complete it successfully.
