according to me you should join in any of the good coaching institute for the NET preparation
and if you want to do the self study then you can strictly follow the syllabus and then prepare accordingly
you can purchase the sample papers of the NET exam which would contain the last years papers and try to solve them that would be very much helpful to you .....
