minimum 12 th pass or even graduates are too allowed..

CPT exam conducts twice a year..in the month of

1st JUNE

1st OCTOBER

and notification come before 2 months ..so you can expect same for 2012 also ...

Hello Dharmendra25,

CA CPT exam is held twice a year in the month of June and December
For applying for the exam :-

1. Get yourself registered with ICAI(Institute of Chartered Accountant of India) two months before the start of the exam.
For registering you should be 10th pass. Download the form from www.icai.org. It will cost you Rs.6000

2. For applying for CPT you should be 12th pass and registered with ICAI at least two months before the date of exam. Submit the form and apper for CPT exam.

first of all you have to take registration in CA course.

CA CPT(Common proficiency test) is entrance exam for chartered accountancy course.when you will be registered then you will recieve all study material and information booklet from ICAI regional office.study the booklet carefully and apply for it as it is indicated in it.

CA cpt exam is held twice a year
1-in june
2-in october

you have to be registered in this course before three months of giving your first CA CPT exam

After 10th, you are eligible to registered for CPT But you can appear the CA CPT examination only after completing your 12th.

The Registration for these courses can be done all throughout the year. There is no such thing as a last date for registration.

The examination are held two time- June and December.

And if you are interested to appear for June examination, then you have to registered before 1 April. And if you are interested to apply for December examination then you have to apply before 1 October.

Common Proficiency Test
This is the entry level i.e. Lowest/First level at which a student can start pursuing the Chartered Accountancy (professional accounting) course.


Course duration:

Since examinations are conducted for the course only twice a year, the course duration can be assumed to be 6 months.


Dates of CPT examination

The main/final examinations for the course at this level (CPT) are conducted twice every year on the first sunday of the months of June and December.

A student on passing the CPT would be taking up the PCC (professional competence course) which requires the student to undergo compulsory articleship training with a practicing Chartered Accountant for a three and half year period.

Pencil Paper Dates Of CPT Exams -
For June Examination-
June 6th, 2010, June 5th, 2011, June 3rd, 2012.

For December Examination -
December 5th, 2010, December 4th, 2011, December 2nd, 2012.

Eligibility :

You must be At least 10 passed

As that date to fill form online was 4th April to 25 April so it is over now .

i think now you are doing 12th standard,so firstly you have to register himself/herself with ICAI (new delhi) for CA cpt before october2011 ending.Then after passing 12 you can appeared in june 2012 cpt exam.for studying they will provid you study materiel.

Hello Yamini,

First of all you have to get yourself registered with Institute Of Chartered Accountants of India, atleast two months before CPT Exam.
For this download the form from icai.org and send it along with a DD of Rs.6000. You have to be atleast 10th pass for registering.

Next you have to apply for CPT exam when the form comes out. You have to be 12th pass for writing CPT Exam .

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) are held twice in a year in june and in december.

You can enrol for CPT after passing 10th but, can appear for CPT exam after giving your 12th exam.

The application form is available with the regional council offices. It can also be downloaded from its official website at www.icai.org.

Duly filled application form is to be submitted with the relevant documents and CPT fees of Rs.7000. in the ICAI office.

Paper Pencil Mode
In the CA CPT main examinations in Paper Pencil mode, the candidates are provided with an OCMR sheet along with the question paper wherein the answers have to be marked. These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first sunday of the months of June and December.

Online Examination Mode
In the CA CPT main examinations in Online Examination mode, candidates are required to fill in the answers to the question paper on a computer. These examinations are held once a month in the 4 months preceding the month in which the Paper Pencil Examination is conducted.
Online Mode is optional
A candidate can attempt the CPT examination in this mode, apart from the Paper Pencil mode.

When can a student appear for his/her first examination?

Medium for writing the examinations
Examinations can be written either in ENGLISH or HINDI medium.

Online examinations can be written only in ENGLISH

A student has to mention the preference of medium at the time of making the application for examination. In the absence of clear indication of preference, English will be taken as the preferred medium.

The option to answer papers in HINDI should be exercised in total. Paper wise option is not available.

The papers of a candidate who has not opted to write his answer papers in Hindi and answers them in Hindi, would not be valued.
Maximum attempts allowed. Failing to get through within those

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA is the best professional course now a days with very bright future. For writting an entrance exam for CA, that is cpt, you must have to complete your 12th. You can apply for cpt by filling an application which is given in an icai branch office which contain information book which help you to fill the form. you must have to attach your 2 recent passport size photos. Then you have to attach a demand draft of rupees 6200 from any nationalised bank. Then this must be submitted in icai. Then you will be given a receipt of payment. The hall ticket will be delivered to the address which is mentioned in application form before 15 days of examination, if it has not been delivered you have an option to download in from the official website me iaci. But the download limit is of 5 times.
