Hello sir i am amritpal singh from batala(punjab).sir i want to apply for gp rating post in merchant navy.sir i have secured 63% in 10th and 55% marks in 12th in pcm and 60% marks in eng.sir how to apply for this.sir at present i am doing b.tech ece.

Hi,

you can go for GP rating if you pass the following criteria

ELIGIBILITY
PASS IN 10th Std with Total Average 40% marks.
(With Individual Pass in Mathematics, Science Subjects). or

PASS in 2 year I.T.I Course from Govt. approved institute with
minimum 50% aggregate marks in final year. or

40% Marks in English Subject is required either in 10th or 12th
Standard (or) Any Degree / Diploma Course.

AGE LIMIT
Min. 17years 6 months - 25 yrs (maximum)

No Color Blindness, 6/6 Vision in each eye. No Eye Glasses permitted.

-Unmarried male
-Belong to age group of 19-23 years
-Should of Indian
-Should have completed his graduation from a recognized university (with Physics, Mathematics, at 10+2)
-Final year students can also apply
2)National Cadet Corps Special Entry (Through CO NCC Unit / DG NCC)
As a air Wing Senior division 'C' certificate holder of the National Cadet Corps, you can apply to flying branch.
Physical Eligibility For joining Merchant navy as Deck Cadet are as follows: -
A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.
1. Eye Sight = 6/6,
2. Height = 167 cms,
3. Weight = 50 Kg
4. Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

Well son, you can appy G.P rating even with the 10th standered marks but has to be (P.C.M) 55% at least. if you have 12th standered mark it is still good LOOK in google there are many institute but make sure it is D.G approve ( DIRECTOR GENERAL APPROVE FROM GOVERNMENT)
