Is it possible to go for merchant navy after b.tech from Ece ?
How i benefitted to go for merchant navy after b.tech i mean in my post nd something else..??
Whats the procedure for apply in merchant navy nd whats it's last date ..??

It is not possible to apply for merchant navy after completing B.TECH in ece.In order to apply for merchant navy,there are three options-
1)B.SC in nautical science,bachelor degree in nautical science a three year degree course in nautical course can be done in order to become merchant navy.In order to study nautical science,one must have passed intermediate with physics,chemistry and mathematics with 60% marks.Physical fitness and good vision are mandatory for selection.The course fees is comparatively higher,costs nearly 7-8 lakhs in entire three year.

2)Apart from nautical science,B.TECH in marine engineering is another option to apply for merchant navy,after completing 4 year engineering course in marine engineering one can apply for merchant navy.The conditions are similar to that of nautical science course,course fees is almost same.One difference is that for marine engineering,there is a engineering entrance exam compulsory,whereas for nautical direct admission process is preferred on the basis of marks scored in intermediate.

Apart from above mentioned two options,there is one more option to join merchant navy,which after completing engineering in mechanical engineering,the only difference is it not a direct entry whereas above options are direct entry for merchant navy.
