Master of Engineering in correspondence mode is not approved by All India Council for Technical Education. If any candidate does master's degree in engineering from distance mode from any institute, his/her degree is not valid for any government job. So, it is advisable not to do master's degree in correspondence mode.

Candidates who are interested to do Master's degree in Technology must apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. GATE is conducted every year by IIT or IISC for admission of candidates in Master of Technology. Bachelor of technology/engineering candidates are eligible for this examination

GATE qualified candidates are also given stipend for pursuing Master of Technology.
