i want to apply for pmt entrance test punjab 2012. How can i apply online

Punjab Medical Entrance Test (PMET) is an Entrance examination conducted each year for admission to various bachelor medical courses which are MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS in the entire medical, dental, Ayurvedic/ Homoeopathic Institutes across Punjab. Punjab Medical Entrance Test is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot on behalf of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar.

There are about 20 medical/dental colleges in Punjab for which admission is done through Punjab Medical Entrance Test. In all these colleges 85% seats are reserved for Punjab candidates and 15% seats for Outside Punjab candidates. A large number of candidates appear for PMET every year and the competition is quite tough so candidates have to really work very hard to get admission through PMET.

The forms for PMET 2011 are expected to be available by May in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and also from selected Canara Bank Branches. The form can also be obtained by post from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.
The candidates that want to send the application form through post have to provide a signature of the candidate in the back side of the Demand Draft and should also clearly mention the registration number at the top of the requisite letter.

PMET - Punjab Medical Entrance Test

Punjab PMT Eligibility
Candidate wishing to appear in this Punjab Pre Medical Test should have passed (with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in case of general Category and 40% in respect of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) the Senior Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as compulsory subject.

Age:
17 years on 31st December of the year of application.

How to apply for the Punjab PMT Entrance Exam?
Forms are available in Baba Farid university of Health sciences, Faridkot and selected Canara Bank Branches.

Punjab PMT Exam Syllabus
The Punjab PMT contains general syllabus of relevant subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology from classes 11th and 12th under the 10+2 scheme/pre-medical/intermediate science or an equivalent examination of the Punjab State Education Board / Indian University.


Punjab PMT Exam Pattern
The Punjab PMT paper will be of 150 minutes duration consisting of 200 multiple choice questions from the following subjects:

Important: For every correct answer, a candidate will get 4 marks and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.
