KAS stands for Karnatake administrative services.

This exam is conducted in three phases:

1. Preliminary exam: it contains objective type questions and candidates who qualify it can sit for main exam.
2. Main exam:It is a written exam. After qualifying this you will be called for personality test.
3. Personality test: This will be interview and final selection process.
