I appreciate your feelings but sorry to say that you can't be an IAS just after +2. The minimum qualification for IAS is minimum age is 21 years & a candidate must be graduate. A candidate in appearing can't seat in the exam of IAS. So, it is better for you to start the preparation for IAS from +2 & at the time of completion of your graduation you will be covered almost all syllabus of UPSC exam. for more information regarding the eligibility criteria & syllabus. kindly visit: www.upsc.gov.in good luck. |

Re: How can I become an IAS officer after 12th?
Hello friend,
There are some steps that you have to follow in your career after 12th that will leadyou to become an IAS officer. Just at first finish your graduation in the stream you like best and after graduation only you can apply for the IAS exam which is conducted by the UPSC every year. There is huge competition in this exam as seats are very limited in the civil services. So prepare yourself in that way to crack the written exam. After written exam qualification you have to pass the personal interview test also, which will give you the final selection. Best of luck! |

Re: How can I become an IAS officer after 12th?
Hello Friend,
As per UPSc guidelines, you must hold a bachelor degree to be eligible to appear for the IAS exam. So, you need to wait until you complete your graduation but you may start preparation for the IAS exam right from now. In the IAS exam, you will have to appear for compulsary papers like General studies, English, Essay. So you need to work hard on these subjects during your degree programme. Apart from compulsary papers, you will also have the option of selecting any paper from the following list of subjects. Agriculture Mathematics, Animal Husbandry & Vetinary Science, Mechanical Engineering Botany, Medical Science, Chemistry, Philosophy, Civil Engineering, Physics, Commerce,Political Science ,Economics ,Psychology Electrical Engineering Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, Geology, Statistics, Indian,History, Zoology,Law. So, you must concentrate on your degree programme to be eligible for the IAS exam and work hard on subjects you think you need to. |
