If you want to go for government job after completing your M.SC degree in applied microbiology, then you must have to appear in entrance exam conducted by various government organizations to recruit eligible candidates for public services.

1) SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Exam):- Combined graduate level exam is conducted by staff selection commission for recruitment of graduates to various government organizations and departments.

2) CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research):- CSIR recruit eligible candidates having M.SC applied microbiology for services in government hospital laboratories.

3) NET (National Eligibility Test):- NET exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for various government undertaking educational institutes.

4) Other major employment areas are Pharmaceutical, Food , Beverage industries, Bottling plants, Water processing plants etc.
