the main requirement is of being physical strong which you should maintain for going any field in indian army


To join indian army you have to fulfill these basic criterias:

1)your age should be 19 to 23 years old.
2)you should be medically sound.

after you fulfill these criterias you can then give the following exams to join indian army,you can join logistic cadre in indian army:

UES-University Entry Scheme.
SSC-Short Service Commission.
CDS-Combined Defence Service

1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year.

How to Join Indian Army after 12th

In order to join the Indian Army you need to appear for the NDA (National Defense Academy) exam

Eligibility for NDA :-

1) You need to be a 12th pass-out in any stream

2) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

Apart from these..you should have a good physical health and a perfect eyesight..

You first need to clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

every year upse conduct a NDA exam twice in a year.

Qualification: 12th with PCM and 10+2 equivalent
age: candidate should be 16 1/2 to 19year before joining.
physical status: good eye sight 6/6
height: 157.5 to 166cm
chest: 81cm min. before expansion.
and good health.
notification of exam:march/April and October/November.
exam conduct : July and January
selection procedure;
1. written test
2. ssb interview
3. medical checkup

Hello Manoj,
If you interested in joining Indian Army after +2, you will have to appear for NDA exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
To be eligible for the exam, you must have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not be over 19 years.
The NDA exam is conducted twice a year and the upcoming exam is going to be conducted on 15-04-2012.
The application form, both online and offline, will be available from 31-12-2011.

You can surely join the Indian Army by appearing for and clearing the NDA exainations held by UPSC twice every year.

The eligibility is
Educational Qualification
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

2) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

after 12th you can apply for NDA exam to join Indian army....

1,Students who have passed 10+2 OR Equivalent qualification are eligible for applying in NDA.
BUT
If you have done your 12th with compulsory subjects maths and physics than you are
Eligible to apply in all the branches – NAVY,ARMY,AIR FORCE.
OR
If you have done your class 12th with commerce or art stream than you are eligible for
ARMY only.

The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages :

(you should be physically fit and you be able to fulfill the minimum physical fitness requirement set by service medical board for students applied for NDA)
