I have just completed HSC in commerce, I want to do CA, But I dont have detail information about the CA course, how can I do CA after HSC?

You can do CA after completing 12th in Commerce by just giving an entrance exam of CPT and according to that rank you will get admission. You can also join coaching for the preparation , they can also guide you for this purpose.

After 12th you can do ca. There is an entry level test called cpt(commoun proficiency test) which will be held twice in a year in the month of june and december which will be of 200 marks and 50%marks are required for elligibity.
for fee structure and registration you can check on www.icai.org.
after compleating cpt you have to take a 100hours information tecnology training followed by you have to complete the second attempt and you have to do genral management and communication skills courses.finally you have to give the main exam.

definitely you can do CA after completing 12th..

you should first select a good coaching institute for CA/CPT

some institutes are specially designed for coaching of this CPT exam (Common Proficiency test )

if you are of commerce back ground then it will be more easy to crack the exam..

all you have to do is

strong determination towards your goal

a good teacher who can continously motivate towards your goal (this will be provided if you opt a good coaching institute..)

don't do any mistakes in this procedure ..

because you yourself will punish because if you don't perform good in any stage of the exam then again you have to come from the starting ...

to join CA after +2 you have to register your name in ICAI .
after that you have to apply CPT Exam, which one is 1st stage of CA, after that you have to go for INTER ,or IPCC , after that , final .
now there is a good news for graduate , they can skip CPT after graduation direct they can apply for ipcc exam.

CA means chartered accounts.It is one of the highly worthy field for getting money.It is also the toughest field.
For commerce in 12 if you take MEC group it is easiest to you.because it mainly deals with maths and economics.
So after completing 12 you have to attend for CPT examination.if you are selected you can join.After engineering also you can enter the field.

in order to pursue ca after completing 12 th , you have to appear cpt entrance( which is a online test). if you pass through the cpt you will get admitted to inter level of CA.

After completing 12th standard you can pursue degree & diploma courses like:

1)BCA

2)BBA

3)BHM

4)CS

5)Diploma in banking & finance

6)diploma in retail management.

7)B.com

8)LLB.

You Can do Law cet also after 12 standard.This course will be 5 years.

If you do law course after graduation it will be a 3 years course.

In degree you have to face some what maths . Because in finance and accounts you have to face little bit maths.

If you have basics in maths it is enough .You need not to worry for this.

Go according to your interest .If you have interest in any field go for that field only.

Dear sir/madam,
If you want to become a CA after 12th then there is no need of maths is required in 12th in any stream.You can apply for the CPT ( Common Proficiency Course) after 12th in any stream. This test is conducted by ICAI in the place of Foundation examination. The details of CPT exam are as follows :
* It is objective type question based test.
* CPT consists of 4 subjects and these are :
1. Financial accounting - 60 marks
2. Business law - 40 marks
3. Business economics - 50 marks
4. Maths and stats - 50 marks
After passing these test then you will have to apply for the IPCC exam after the gap of 9 months you will be eligible to appear in that exams. There are 7 subjects in IPCC level and this is divided in 2 groups.

After completing the IPCC level then you will have to go for training under a practised CA for the 3 years.

After completion of your compulsory training then you will have to apply for the CA final examination which consists of 8 subjects and these are divided in 2 groups.

After completing all these levels then you will be a qualified CA in future.

CA stands foe Charter Accountant


A candidate must have completed their 12th in any Decipline from recognise Board.

For taking admission in Good Universities A candidate must have score at least 60% in their 12th examination, marks may be varey with universities to universities.

A candidate must have to apply for CPT entrance exami and also have to crack it with Good score.

To become Chartered Accountant you will first have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. This is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy course. A candidate can appear for Common Proficiency Test as soon as after completing 12th standard.

Therefore you must now prepare for the Common Proficiency Test. This test is conducted twice in a year. You can register to appear for it. It is important to clear the Common Proficiency Test before you can take admission for the second stage of Chartered Accountancy.

There are four sections of the Common Proficiency Test:

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

These sections are divided into two groups. You will have to score minimum of 30 percent marks in each group to clear the Common Proficiency Test.


Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC)

The second stage is Integrated Professional Competancy Course. You can take admission for this after passing the Common Proficiency Test. Candidates who have completed graduation can also take direct admission.
