You can not do Chartered Accountancy course only after completing 10th standard. To be eligible you will have to complete at least 12th standard. Otherwise you won't be eligible for this course.

The Chartered Accountancy course is offered by the ICAI. To become CA, the first step is clearing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). This test is conducted twice in a year in India.

The Common Proficiency Test has four subjects. These subjects are divided into two groups. If you score 30 percent marks in each group, you will clear the Common Proficiency Test. The four subjects are:

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

While it is mandatory for students who have only passed 12th standard to clear the Common Proficiency Test. It is not the case for the graduates. Under the new scheme, ICAI allows the graduates to skip Common Proficiency Test if:

The commerce graduate has 55 percent marks in the course.

Non commerce graduate has scored 60 percent marks.

Under such terms the candidate is given exemption and they can directly pursue the IPCC which is the second stage of the Chartered Accountancy course. After 9 months of study you can appear for the exam. There are 7 subjects in the IPCC that are divided in two groups.

Once you have cleared the first group of IPCC, you will be eligible for Aticleship which has the duration of 3 years. It is mandatory to complete the Articleship of 3 years to become Chartered Accountant.

Dear Friend,

The Full Form Of CA is Chartered Accountancy.

If you want to do Chartered Accountancy , then you have to consider on the below mentioned carefully.

The Institute Of Chartered Accountants In India [ICAI] offers the Chartered Accountancy Course to those candidates who want to become Chartered Accountant.

To be eligible for the chartered accountancy course firstly you have to pass the 12th standard examination from any recognized board with Commerce stream.

Then after passing the 12th standard , you have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test [CPT] which is conducted twice every year by the ICAI.
