Your aim to get the highest qualification in the world is very appreciable. You can do Ph.D either by correspondence or by regular mode. Eligibility:You are eligible to do Ph.D by both the means. It is not mandatory to have NET/GATE scores to enrol for the said course. If you compete NET with Junior research fellowship, you will get scholarship of Rs.18000/ per month for the 1st two years & Rs.22000/per month after that up to another 3 years, besides being eligible for lectureship. You should be up to maximum 28 years if you belong to General category & 3 & 5 years age relaxation is applicable to OBC & SC/ST students respectively. Ph.D. is the highest most education in any field.
