I am from AndhraPradesh, I did MCA , I just want to know the way to do PHD in a reputed university. Is NET/GATE score is mandatory for PHD. Is there any difference between doing PHD in regular/ distance. could you please suggest me the correct way.

Your aim to get the highest qualification in the world is very appreciable.You can do Ph.D either by correspondence or by regular mode.

Eligibility:You are eligible to do Ph.D by both the means.It is not mandatory to have NET/GATE scores to enrol for the said course.

If you compete NET with Junior research fellowship,you will get scholarship of Rs.18000/ per month for the 1st two years & Rs.22000/per month after that up to another 3 years,besides being eligible for lectureship.You should be up to maximum 28 years if you belong to General category & 3 & 5 years age relaxation is applicable to OBC & SC/ST students respectively.
