Is PhD course work mandatory for Faculty job in India?

Hello
I have found that UGC has made coursework mandatory
for newly admitted PhD students. So if I have done
Phd somewhere where there is no coursework
will then my degree be of any benefit for faculty jobs in india?
Please let me know.I am confused.

It depends on the university at which you are applying for faculty job. Each university has their own criteria of selecting candidates. If you have Ph.D along with good experience, then coursework will not matter.

If you are a fresh candidates with only educational qualification, then you should have some kind of support to get selected.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
