NET Stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by University Grants of Commission two times in a year for the selection of candidates for various posts of lectureship and to provide scholarship. This exam is mainly conducted in the month of June and December. Through this exam you become eligible for Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) , Lectureship in engineering colleges and for Ph.D course.

Eligibility Criteria:-

1)- You should have completed your Master's degree course in any stream or post Graduation course in any stream from a recognized university. If you belongs to General or OBC category then you should have minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation course. But there is some relaxation for SC/ST candidates. For SC/ST candidates minimum marks should be 50% in post Graduation course.

Those candidates who are in final year of their post Graduation course can also apply for NET exam.

2)- Age limits :-

--> For Lectureship :- There is no upper age limits for Lectureship.
--> For JRF :-Your age should be below 28 years.
