Dear respected sir or madam i am a student of class 12th. And i want to become a fashion designer. Plzz tell me that how to get education of fashion designing.

If you want to become fashion designer, you must apply for the National Institute of Fashion technology entrance exam. NIFT conducts a common entrance exam for admission into courses like B.Des, B.F Tech, M. Des etc.

For bachelor of design, a candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. 10+2 appearing candidates can also apply for the NIFT exams. For bachelor of fashion technology course, physics, chemistry and mathematics is compulsory in 10+2.

Upper age limit for the exam is 23 years.

After completion of your 12th class , You can apply for Fashion Designing course to colleges which offers this course.You will get admission in fashion designing institute on the basis of your merit score.After completion of bachelor degree in fashion designing , You can also get admission in Master in Fashion Designing.

To become a Fashion Designer, you will have to take admission in any Fashion Institute.

NIFT or National Institute of Fashion Technology is an institute that runs by Government of India located in different parts of the country.

To get admission in NIFT for Bachelor of Fashion Technology course,

You must be passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the primary subjects.

Or

3 or 4 years Diploma recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.

# A fashion designer has to do work of art with the help of fabrics with his/her originality, creativity and sense of style.

# Followings are the required eligibility criteria:

* Must be Indian citizen.
* Must have completed the 10+2 in any stream.
* Required minimum percentage marks fixed for General category at the qualifying examination is 50%.
* Required minimum percentage marks fixed for reserved category at the qualifying examination is 45%
* Candidate must be above the age of 17 years.
* Candidate must be compulsorily below the age of 25 years.
