After doing B.tech in ECE you can apply for technical as well as IT officer in banks. Other exams are BSNL JTO SSC Prashar bharti technical assistant.
But the best option is GATE because through GATE score you can apply for the Graduate Engineer Trainee(GET) in Navratna, maharatna companies like ONGC, BHEL, GAIL, Coal India etc. |

For ECE gruaduates, there is a broad job spectrum under Government of India through Engineering
Services Examination (ESE) conducting by UPSC (Union Public Service commission). For attempting this exam you must have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. Now you are in third year of engineering so you have 1 year of time to prepare for this, I think, strong in your acadamics is enough to crack this exam. By the by you will be more benificial when you attempt this exam after a best appearence in GATE. you will get better awarness by visiting this sites http://www.upsc.gov.in/general/engg.htm http://www.engineersinstitute.com/ies_2013_ese_exam_notification_about.php ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE |

Re: How to get a government job related to ECE department? I am a studying B.Tech ECE
There are government jobs related for the Electronics and Communication Engineers that you can apply after completing the graduation. However these jobs are offererd through entrance exam and there isn't any direct admission.
In the government sector, Electronics and Communication Engineers can apply for job through Public Sector Undertaking and Indian Engineering Service entrance exam. These are your best options. Indian Engineering Service IES or the Indian Engineering Service is opened for the engineering graduates. The exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission and you can apply for it since Electronics and Communication Engineers are eligible for it. The aim of Indian Engineering Service is to fill vacant jobs in government departments. Some government departments also require Electronics and Communication Engineers. Eligibility 1. A B.Tech degree that is completed from recognized college. 2. No issue of percentage. Just B.Tech degree is required. 3. Final year B.Tech students can also apply. 4. To apply your should be between 21 to 30 years. 5. The relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit is given to OBC. 6. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. Public Sector Undertaking The PSU basically is a company which is controlled by the government. The government holds at least 51 percent stake in a Public Sector Undertaking. There are over 150 such companies in India that are related to different fields. You can also apply for job in these companies with your Electronics and Communication Engineering degree. However there is no single entrance exam. Therefore check out notification from any company and see whether there are any vacancies for the Electronics and Communication Engineer before applying. Eligibility 1. Must complete B.Tech degree from recognized university. 2. Minimum percentage should be 60%. 3. A valid GATE score may be required in some cases. 4. There should be no pending backlogs at the time of applying. 5. Your age should be 21 to 30 years. 6. Maximum of 3 years relaxation for OBC. 7. SC/ST can apply till 35 years of age.
