There are many opportunities in Government sector for a student of B.Tech Electronics

In Government sector the jobs a ECE student can do upto my knowledge are as follows
->IES
->BSNL JTO
->Army,Navy or Airforce Technical Person through UES,TGC or SSC
->IAS/IPS/IFS etc.,
->Research Engineer/Scientist in ISRO,DRDO,DRDL,VSSC etc.,

these are only a few pure government sector jobs some jobs are there which are aided by Government and run by Private companies in those also you have many opportunities

I guess you know the procedure to enter into the above listed jobs if not then follow these lines.

For IES officer you need write IES entrance examination.

To become a Junior Telecom officer you need to crack BSNL JTO exam.

To become a technical personnel in any of the defense wing you need to clear an interview through UES/TGC or SSC.

To become IAS/IPS /IFS officers you need to clear an entrance examination called Civil Service Examination. this exam is conducted by UPSC.

then you join in engineering in ECE branch
after complete this degree engineering then you eligible for apply all govt. jobs.

if you want to get job from software industry then you go for

Dear you completed your B.tech with a good score of 90 percent aggregate now its time to get job. For getting govenment job there are various PSU companies in which you can get job.
for this there is an exam held by every company and after this there is an interview and after clearing that you can get job.

BEL

NTPC
ISRO

etc.

ISRO take its own exam to select candidates for job for the post of an engineer or scientist for the research work.

IES is the most reputed engineering service in India, and an ideal job for an engineer.

Yes you can definately appear the Government exams after Engineering in Computer Science. Manny government exams are come for ece students, So you can attend the exam of JTO BSNL , ISRO , DRDO and all computer related exam.........

Dear friend,

ECE department is core department of the industry.so you have good chances for govt sector.

After B.Tech in ECE , you have lots of scope in govt sector like BSNL JTO, MTNL , DRDO , SAIL , BHEL , BALCO ,State Electricity Board , Airport Authority of India Ltd , GAIL , BARC ,ISRO, BANK PO , ONGC ,NTPC ,UPSC (IAS ,IPS ,NDA , IFS ,SCRA) etc.

Also you are eligible for off-campus of TCS ,CTS ,IBM ,WIPRO ,HP, ACCENTURE , INFOSYS etc.

If you have to go for higher study . Then the options are JRF , SRF , MS ,MBA , M-TECH ,PHD etc.

But you must be qualify in GATE or MAT or CAT exam and your academic marks should be above 60% for applicable above higher study.

Well I am also from ECE.. We have many govt. jobs like BHEL,ECIL,NFC. these are technical companies.. totally based on ua core subject.. i am trying for BHEL.. hope you will also get a nice govt. job.

You will get govt. job.. some govt. companies requried GATE exam registration num.. Apply for GATE exam.
There are many govt. compaines in which you can be placed. ECIL, BHEL, NFC... I am also from ECE.. Applied for BHEL.
Its totally hardware side.. so prepare well with your core subjects.. then surely you will be placed..
