after completing 10+2 your brother can apply for NDA exam.otherwise he can apply for Navy artificer. it generally held two times in a year august/September and February/march . for further details you can see the employment news every week.

For joining Indian Navy you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.

N.D.A. Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice.

Eligibility criteria for N.D.A exam:-
> Pass 12th with any stream from recognized board.
> Age limit should be above 16.5year and below 19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

After completion of 12th you want to join in NAVY , then you have to qualify in NDA exam.

NDA exam is a defense service exam, through which you can apply for different sections of defense.

Eligibility for NDA exam:-

For NAVY wing:-

1.Candidate has to complete the 12th in science field having subjects like- Physics, chemistry and maths as compulsory subjects.

2.Candidate who is appearing for 12th class board exam can also apply for it.

3.Age should be in between 16.5-19 years.

4.candidate must be physically fit.

5.candidate should be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.

So, if you have done 12th in science stream then you are eligible for it..

You can join Indian Navy after 12th through NDA entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age, can apply for Indian navy through NDA.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with physical fitness and Medical Test.

MerchantNavyas an Officer in two fields
1) Marine Engineering
2) Nautical ScienceYou can either specializein marine Engineering or in Nautical ScienceYou have to do 3 year diploma or a degree
Those who pass 10 2 (non medical) can join as a deck cadet.The following criteria must be satisfied
1) at least 50%marks in 10 2 and 50% in English
2) Medically fit
3) no color blindness
4)Age limit 17 to 25 years
5) valid passport
