You can join Indian army after B.tech through this exam;-

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year

Through CDS exam, you can take admission in:-
Indian Military Academy

Navel Academy

Air force Academy

Officer Training Academy

Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy :

you must have completed your Degree in any stream with minimum percentage of marks from any recognized college or board.

AGE LIMIT;-

Indian Military Academy: 19-24yrs.

Naval Academy: 19-22yrs.

Air Force Academy: 19-23yrs

Officers Training Academy: 19-25yrs.


CDS II exam Important Dates;-

Date of Notification;-25/05/2013

Last Date of Filling Application;-24/06/2013

Date of Exam;-08/09/2013

Duration of Exam;-1 days.

You can get to army under UES which is applicable in your final year only.
Under this scheme you need to give a direct face to face interview and after that you need to give a Group Discussion. after your selection then you need to go through medical examination.
the salary package is 63000 to 86000 p.m as per your qualification the entry is on Lieutenant post.

After B.Tech. in ECE, one can get a job in Indian Army through CDS entrance exam.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Army(IMA) of CDS, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

One can also join Indian Army through TES(Technical Entry Scheme) after B.Tech ECE.

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Eligibility for CDS:

I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA): Graduation Degree from a recognized University

Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering

Air Force Academy: Degree of Recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering

Age:

Indian Military Academy: 19-24 years

Air Force Academy: 19-23 Years

Officers’ Training Academy: 19-25 years

Naval Academy: 19-22 years

Exam Pattern:

English: 100 Marks
Maths: 100 Marks
GK: 100 Marks

Total 300 Marks

All questions will be of objective types.

One of the way to join is Army is through CDS exam. For CDS, age of the applicant must be between 19 and 24 years. Topics on general knowledge, English and Maths are asked for the exam. Another way to join army is through technical entry scheme. Here the upper age limit is 25 years.

You can apply through UPSC.
Through AFCAT,SSB also you can go for army.
The process of selection will be written exam and then interview,Medical test and ability tests.
then training period.
