what are the career aspects of ECE after btech ?As there are many IT companies but i want to go for core job in electronics or communication. so i want to know about the short term courses after which i can go for technical job and tell me about the exams which i can give after 4rth year to go in core industry of ECE.

Basically every one from the ECE department , go to the INSTRUMENTATION jobs, in our company for the EIE recruitment 60% of them from the ECE department, they are not going to there core company, they are joining with us and reducing the % of seats given to as at the recruitment time, for them core company is BSNL and communication side, they are Embedded system and circuit design company, they are not going to that, fabrication of IC is very important for them,so they can do Embedded system and VLSI courses that will be very useful for them at the time of job. scope in electronics and communication engineering field after completion of b.tech is very nice.
you may go for m.tech or higher studies.
you mat choose to work in industry. as you are interested in core company so i will tell you about some company which recruit ece engineer in core field like
BHEL
DRDO
BSNL JTO
SAIL
ISRO
etc etc.
in 4th year if you want to do higher study you may appear in GATE and CAT exam.
also you may appear in job examination like BSNL JTO examination, BHEL trainee examination etc.

dear friend,

now a days Electronics and telecom engg is booming,but unfortunately not in our country.so all the job prospects are mainly instrumentation industry.

so ECE people either go to instrumentation job or IT /software job.

there are many government sectors like
BHEL,DRDO,BSNL JTO,SAIL,ISRO,IAF etc.

option is more and you need to be higher prepration.

after b tech u can do online job ,u can do also in government job like as bsnl ,& u also can do job in various companies

ECE has a huge scope everywhere (as we people can get into any sector).
But if you want to go into core field then you will have a difficult time as companies
require experienced people into it, at all you want to get into core then put your resume
in all small companies and big companies related to your field (specifying you want to get into core field).
For competitive exams, you can do
GATE, GRE, GMAT, BHEL, DRDO, PATNI....

Electronics and communication branch yields at both side , electronics as well as communication. There are slightly job opportunities for core electronics but relatively more job vacancies for communication(telecommunication).
For getting a job in Electronics field, one must have to take a pre training in core electronics subjects such as VLSI, Embedded system or CAD in circuits etc. Many institutes in India provide this training at their institutes, they have established a big industry of training candidates in Delhi and Banglore. After training, candidates are appointed in technical section of (testing section) in core companies.
However as far as telecommunication branch is concerned, it is relatively new and highly specialised, this sector cannot boast of many trained, experienced and multi-skilled professionals. The demand, therefore is naturally, much higher than the supply. In fact, within telecom, it is the cellular industry that offers great employment prospects for the young and the willing.
For the lower-end jobs in customer care and sales, graduates and freshers have a good potential. There is also a great demand for electrical and telecom engineers. But, the shortage is more pronounced at higher levels, where it is difficult to find trained and skilled professionals in telecom line.

There are various field available for elex and comm engineer like
core field: Telecom, networking, semiconductor, embedded, communication,
software development, testing,
govt. BHEL, BEL,HPCL, isro, barc, railway, power generation, etc.

There are plenty of scopes in ECE field. Candidates can go for M.Tech or MBA. They can also apply for jobs in different companies. There are many reputed companies like BHEL, DRDO, BSNL JTO, SAIL, ISRO etc to which students can apply for jobs. Students who want to join higher studies can prepare for GATE or CAT exams.

you can get into governmental jobs like power sector, also electronics industries are well established in all the states of india unlike cse whose jobs are mostly confined to delhi , ncr, and southern part of the country., embedded systems etc. so alot of scope for you in ece

electronics and communication , the name it self shows us it be divided into two. i.e
1. electronics ,2.communication ., this is the only one course that which gives a multiple options to go for job oppurtinities and as well as furthur higher studies when compared to other courses , ECE will be a standred there is no raise and falls like IT industries ..,,,/.. and more often it will be more intresting .,...........,,,,,,,, nice question this question will most helpful

after finishing B.Tech ECE you can go for M.Tech programme or else you can apply for core industries if not interested in the software field .. core fields include BSNL ie ., telecom industries or electronics companies

It ir a good branch in engineering.It is related to future technology for communication like in mobiles , cameras etc.Technology has been increases day by day.You have to complete your btech in EC with good percetage .After any company will hire you with aggresive salary.Due to increase in technology EC gives variour opportunities

so don't worry. you can easily get jobs in renowned companies BHEL, SAIL, ISRO etc.

As i have also persue my engg. in ece,the career prospects in this field is really bright.If no core companies are visiting ur campus for recruitement there are numerous no. of institutes which have one year course and at the end u have campus drive where u have all big companies visiting such as national institute of ocean technology if at all u want to get into research field in ece then u have lot of govt. exams that can be appeared in case of electonics field.There is another prospective,if u want to get into defence services,then u can apply for navy executive branch,if possible u can look into this site for further details www.nausena-bharti.co.in.

Yes, my friend... You are right..
ECE students can join both software and hardware companies.
But if you want to go in the core field, then you should take up courses such as
Embedded course
VLSI course.

These two course is a core subject and it will be very helpful for you to get job in core companies.

you can join M.TECH in same major ..
you can join in telecommunication fields like Bsnl, Airtel, Aircel,etc..
you can join in Electronics fields...
you can join in M.S. in communication major...

I have completed my B.E. in Electronics & communication engineering from North Eastern Hill University( Central university) with 1st class(63%) in the year 2010.I have 3 months worked in Telecom sector in a off role.In this job its a huge travelling from one side to one side.Timing of job is 24*7.So, i resigned that job coz my job location is Nagaland & its problem in that area to working in night time.

Now, i am looking job in electronics sector.I knw manufacturing field is better for me, But as a freshers no one can Give any chance to prove myself.If no one can chance to prove ourself, then how we are experinced???

So, plz tel me what i can do? If any course is suitable for me?Im not from a big family.Financial is also metter for me.

Im from Guwahati.Now im think to go outside like banglore, delhi,etc...But which place is suitable for my job field i.e. in electronics?Plz help me all & tel me in details.

I have same problem I passed B.Tech in 2008 after that I done 6 months teaching but after that due to some personal reason I left the job. Now its 2011 .can I do job or M.Tech . its total confusing so help me.
