your choice in joining the B.Arch is very good and very nice choice.Because you have a great scope of career through B.Arch.

Since you are a diploma student.If you want to get into the B.Arch department.You should apply for ECET exam and write that exam.

After the exam the results are informed.If the qualifying marks are achieved by you then you can get the seat in the B.Arch Dept.

but ECET exam is to join b.tech i.e., engg.. does it relate to b.arch?

To pursue B.Arch course, you needto qualify :
-National Aptitude test in Architecture(NATA)
OR
-All India Engineering Entrance Examination
to get a seat in recognized and reputed institutes.
# The basic eligibility criteria is plus two with a minimum of 50 percent in Science subjects
