sir, i am studying part time diploma in civil engineering. I want to join B.arch through lateral entry after completing my diploma.Can I Join for B.Arch now?Is there age limit For B.Arch ?

Dear Friend

There would hardly be such a college which offers lateral entry to B.Arch.
Even if there would be some the eligibility criteria is diploma in Architecture.
It is so because the course content of B.Arch. is very much different.
Some papers of B.Arch. are taught in Civil Engineering but not to the
extent so as to make lateral entry to B.Arch. possible.

If you are planning to go for B.Arch. you should appear AIEEE or NATA.
The information brochure for NATA and AIEEE is attached with this message.
Find them into the attachments and read carefully are the details.

according to me there are no college or university which provides the entranced in the lateral entry for the b arc candidates as such ..........
but according to me to get into the b arch you should give the AIEEE exam ........

you are doing diploma in Civil Engineering so why You want to complete you degree with some other Branch i mean B.Arch.Both fields are very different and you know very well.B.Arch is totally full of Drawing and Design,and Civil Engineering deals strength of Materials and load shearing technique.And There is no such college which i know who offers B.Arch for Civil Engineering diploma holders...

What you have to do is just write a mail to some of the top university in India Regarding your matter they will definitely revert back to you.

Yes you can do b.arch because the basic eligibility criteria for
B.Arch is 10+2 (senior secondary
Class XII) or equivalent referred
to as the qualifying examination
from a recognized Board/
University with a minimum of 50%
marks in Science subjects (Physics,
Chemistry and
Mathematics). Besides this, the
candidate must qualify an
entrance examination.
And there is no age limit for this.
