If you have passed the 12th standard then the next step will be to clear Common Proficiency Test. The CPT test is the first stage of the Chartered Accountancy course.
You should have completed 12th to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. The percentage and subjects in 12th does not matter. This exam is conducted in June and December of every year. Quantitative Aptitude These subjects will be in 2 groups during the Common Proficiency Test. You should be able to score 30 percent marks in each group to clear the Common Proficiency Test and move forward to the second stage called IPC. IPC course is the second stage and there are two groups of 7 subjects in it. Along with the IPC course you will be doing the mandatory 3 years articleship. You can appear for the first group of IPC after 9 months. Group 1 1. Accounting 2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4.
