Its good that you have taken an early decision just after 10+2 to join Chartered Accountancy.

In order to become Chartered Accountant, you will have to clear the three stages of this course.

First stage is the Common Proficiency Test. You must clear this test to enter into Chartered Accountancy course. ICAI conducts the entrance test twice every year. CPT is an objective test containing of 200 questions from different sections mentioned below:

>>Accounting.

>>Mercantile Law.

>>Economics

>>Quantitative Aptitude.

In order to clear this test, you need to secure at least 30% in each section and overall 50% marks is needed to clear this test. Every wrong question has 0.25 negative marks.

You can register for the December CPT exam as the dates for registration of June 2015 CPT exam is already over. The exam will be conducted on 14/06/2015.

Just brush up your concepts of 10+2 subjects of accounting, economics and practice questions of aptitude, you will easily clear the test.

Second stage is Integrated Professional Competence Course. Candidates who have done bachelor's degree are exempted from CPT.

Last stage is final course of CPT.

For any more details about CPT, you can visit www.icai.org.

CA stands for chartered accountant post. You have to clear CPT exam for it. This exam is of 200 marks and you have to prepare all your 12th commerce subjects ( Acciunts , Economics, bussiness) for it. Then you have to clear a test known as Common Proficiency Test.
After cracking this exam you will be elegible for this line . But the competition is very tough in this line. So you have to prepare yourself with full of confidence . You must have some extra skills such as personality for interview and management etc. You must have to score atleast 45% marks to clear this exam . The next step for this line is to clear Integrated Professional Competence course. Then you will be eligible for this post.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
