i want to join defence as an officer but i am graduate but i am very near to overage so i want to join after post graduation so plz. guide me which course should i commence so that i can try for it? is PGDCA or MSC(IT) is eligible qualification for entry in defence.

For join Indian Defence Services as officer after passing graduation you have to qualify the entrance exam called as

Combine Defence Services

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass graduation with recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

IMPOTENT DATE FOR C.D.S-II,2013
Date Of Notification:-25.05.2013
Last date of submission of form:-24.06.2013 (MONDAY)
Date of exam:-08.09.2013 (SUNDAY)

how should i join defence officer while universiy scheme

Dear Friend

In order to become a officer in defense,you have to clear the entrance examinations that are gateway to the defense.

The several examinations are as below:

1.National defense academy/NA exams:

The minimum requirement is 10+2 from a recognized board with mathematics and english as compulsory subjects.

The age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.You must be an Indian citizen.

You must be mentally and physically fit.

2.Technical entry scheme.

You must have passed you 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects with minimum of 70 % marks.

3.University Entry Scheme.:

>>You need to give this examination when you are in the final year of the graduation.

4.The fourth option for you is to give the Combined defense services.Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for this exam.

The age limit is 19-25 years.

If you are a Graduate then you can apply for Combined Defence Services Examination conducted by UPSC.

The age criteria for Different Academies are mentioned below for CDS exam:

Indian Naval Academy- 19 to 22 years

Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years

Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years

Officers Training Academy - 19 to 25 years


Please note that for joining Air Force and Navy you must complete your Graduation in Engineering or maths or physics. Those who have done 10+2 with physics and maths can apply for Air Force Academy.

The selection will be based in the marks obtained in following test:

-Objective Type Paper

-SSB Interview

Those who are in merit will undergo Medical Examination and after passing Medical Exam will join there respective academy for training.

Hello friend for joining Indian military you must now appear for CDS exam adn the basic eligibility is
1. You must complete graduation in b.tech or b.sc with maths, computers, electronics, physics etc
2. You must have minimum 55% marks in graduation
3. The age limit is 19- 24 years

You can so it also after completing post graduation nut M.Sc(IT) will be more better for you as now a days a lot of computer professionals are required for maintenance of computers and also due to hacking of our computers by foreigners

4. Medical Examination

Nice to see that you want to join Defense as an Officer.

Through the National defense Academy (NDA) Examination and Combined Defense Services Examination (CDSE) , you can directly join defense as a Lieutenant.

Both the Exams are conducted by the Union Public Service commission.

The NDA Exam is conducted twice every year in the months of April and August whereas the CDS Exam is conducted twice every year in the months of February and December.

The Qualifications Required For NDA Examination are :

* Educational Qualification : 12th with PCM.

* Age Limit : 16.5-19 years.

* Nationality : Indian

* You must be an unmarried male.

* You must be physically and mentally fit.

Note : Girls are not eligible for the NDA Exam.

The Qualifications Required For CDS Examination are :

* Educational Qualification : Graduation from any recognized university.

* Age Limit : 18-24 years.

* Nationality : Indian

* You must be physically and mentally fit.
