Candidate seeking to purse Diploma program in Civil Engineering though Distance mode may look for the following Universities:

Indira Gandhi National Open University

The Diploma in Civil Engineering offered by the IGNOU is a three years program which can be completed in a maximum of 5 years. Candidate seeking to pursue, must hold any of the following qualification along with being employed in construction organizations or in other related organisation:

• Xth with 55% marks with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
  
• Xth with PCM and and 2 years of working experience in constructions Industry in any capacity
  
• +2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

Karnataka State Open University

The Diploma in Civil Engineering offered by the KSOU is a three years program. Candidate who have passed the Xth with Mathematics are eligible to pursue the Diploma course. Candidate who have passed the +2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Xth with ITI are eligible for lateral entry in to the third semester.
