How to make my career in Indian Air Force? I am a student of B.Tech
I am student of B-tech,and want my career in Indian Air Force. so what I have to do for this?
As I have no knowledge about this, so whats its elegibility criteria? and what are the different career for girls in this field? |

To make a career in Indian Air Force a B.Tech. Graduate has to apply, appear and crack CDS and AFCAT entrance exam.
CDA - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. To be eligible to join Indian Air Force of CDS, one must be an Indian unmarried male having either appear for the final Graduation degree/B.Tech. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physical and Mental health. AFCAT - Air Force common Admission Test conducted by Air Force for selection of officer in Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branch. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation with 60% marks from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years for Flying Branch, 18 to 28 years for Technical Branch and 20 to 23 years for Ground Duty Branch. The selection is through written exam followed by personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test for both CDS and AFCAT exam. Yeah yes you are eligibl for Indian AirForce after b.tech through Combined Defence Service exam, which is conducted by the UPSC two times in a year. Eligibility criteria:- For India AirForce and Indian Naval academy:- The candidate should be complete graduation in engineering from a recognised university. Age limits: For Indian Naval academy 19 years to 22 years, For Indian AirForce academy 19 years to 23 years. For Indian Officer Training Academy and Indian Military academy: The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Age limits: For Indian Military academy the age limits are 19 years to 24 years, For Officers Training Academy the age limits are 19 years to 25 years. And Applicant must be a citizen of India. The candidate should be physically fit. Male and Female both are eligible for this exam. Percentage is not important to appear this exam. Yes you can eligible to join Indian Air force. So you need to apply for the CDS exam. CDS stands for Combined Defense Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year. CDS-I CDS-II Eligibility Criteria: Nationality: Candidate should be origin of India. Educational Qualification: Candidate should complete the Graduation from any recognized University with any stream. There is no min percentage required for this exam. Final year pursuing candidates are eligible for this exam. PCM subjects are required for the Indian Air force and Navy exams. Age limit: The candidate age limit should be between 19 to 25 years. No upper age relaxation applicable for other categories. Selection Process: Written Test Medical Test Interview All the best. |
