HOW TO JOIN INDIAN AIR FORCE

Dear Abhay,

Its good to here that someone is willing to take a stand to join Indian air force. Due to security reasons many student do not want to join India air force.

Yes, you can join Indian air force after completion of your B.E as a engineer.

Eligibility
◘ 4 year graduation degree in engineering.
◘ 60% or more Aggregate marks in your B.E.
◘ Age - 18 to 28 (Min. 25 for married candidates)

How to join?
◘ Through SSB (5 day test)
◘ Through University entry scheme- For final and pre-final year students.

Salary : Approx. Rs. 17,000

You can join Indian Air Force in two ways : 1)C.D.S 2)AFCAT.

Combined Defence Service Examination (C.D.S) :-

----->The candidate must have a completed graduation or engineering from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.

----->The candidate must have a studied physics and mathematics in 12th level.

----->Your age should between 19 years to 23 years of age and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

----->Candidates who are studying in the last semester of the examination can also apply for this examination.

Air Force Common Admission Test(AFCAT) :-

The examination consist of Ground Duty Branch,Flying Branch and Technical Branch.

Ground Duty :-

---->You should have a graduate degree from any recognized university.

---->The age should between 20years to 27 years of age.

Flying branch :-

---->You should have a engineering/technology from any recognized university.

---->The age should between 19 years to 23 years of age.

Yes, you can join Indian air force after completion of your B.E as a engineer.

As you have already completed your graduation level,then you can apply for then you can get chance to take admission in Indian Airforce.

There are some selection procedure such as:

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women

Age:

i)19 to 23 years
ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India.
Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.

Marital Status:
You have to be Single.

Nationality:
You have to be Indian

Gender:
Men and women can apply for the examination.

Educational Qualifications

1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

or
You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters.

Generally,the notice is published in the month of March and September every year.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.

B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .But you have not any Pending Backlog.

Final Year student are also eligible for CDSE exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

You surely fly high after joining the Flying branch of the Indian Air Force. You are trained either as a Fighter pilot, or a Helicopter pilot, or a Transport pilot and are a part of various peace and wartime missions.

As having B.Tech, you enter the Flying branch through the Air Force Academy.

The following are the three modes of entry for graduates to join the Flying branch:

Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE)
You can take the Combined Defence Services Examination (written test conducted by UPSC) to join the Flying branch of the Indian Air Force. Men can join the Air Force through this mode of entry and will be given a Permanent Commission.

For applying through any of the entry points mentioned above, you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

After completion of BE in ECE stream you want to join in India Air force then you have to appear in AFCAT exam..

Through AFCAT exam you can join in different sections of India Air force..

Eligibility for AFCAT exam:-
