Default Re: How many seats are there in medicine in AP category?

For medicine in Andhra Pradesh, there are 27 colleges which are well known and are rightfully affiliated to the board.
The total number of seats in these 27 colleges combined are 4050.
This includes the seats for reserved categories.
For ST,SC 6% and 15% respectively of the seats are reserved in every college which means 5% of the total seats are allocated for SC,ST.
Thus 608 seats for SC and 243 seats for ST are already reserved.
In addition to this 25% seats are reserved for OBC in non-creamy layer.
This means that 25% of 4050 is available for OBC which amounts to 1013 seats.
Women have 33% seats reserved which is 1350 seats.
Physically handicapped, children of armed personnel, sports quota an NCC have 3%,2%,0.5% and 1% respectively reserved.
This leaves approximately 572 seats for the general category.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
