how many times scra exam is conducted in a year...please tell me the answer

SCRA stands for SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE

The SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICES' EXAMINATION is conducted by UPSC
generally once in a year.

A total of 30-40 meritorious students get selected after this examination and interview.

The successfully qualified students undergo a training course equivalent to B.Tech.
and after successful completion of the training course they are absorbed in
Mechanical Department of Indian Railways as Special Class Railway Apprentice.

The minimum educational qualification required for the exam is
Pass in 12th or equivalent examination with at least 1st or 2nd division
with Mathematics and at least one of the Physics and Chemistry
as subjects of the exam.

Also, Graduation degree with Maths. and one of the the Physics and Chemistry
as subjects, are eligible.

The age limit for the exam is 17-21 years.

Before SCRA 2010, exam was conducted alternate years. In 2010, SCRA exam was conducted abruptly in December 2010, which was known as SCRA 2010.
The next SCRA exam would be conducted in July 2011 and would be known as SCRA 2011.
SCRA was conducted in July 2009 and July 2007 also.

SCRA - SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE is an entrance exam conducted by UPSC once every year for recruitment of SCRA in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.

The eligible candidate should complete 12th standard or graduation degree with good marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics within the age of 17 to 21 years from a recognised University is eligible to apply for SCRA.

The successful candidate shall have to undergo a technical training course before appointment as SCRA.

SCRA can be expanded as Special Class Railway Apprentice. This is an entrance exam conducted by UPSC. This exam is conducted once in a year. This exam is for allowing apt persons for joining mechanical engineers for Indian Railways. For appearing in this exam your age must be above 17years and below 21years. You must have passed your 12th std with science stream from a recognized school of recognized board.

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprenties. It is an entrance exam for the post of mechanical engineer in Railways. The educational qualification is 10 2 . The age limit is 17-21 years. It is conducted by UPSC once in two years. After 2010 it is conducted every year. Last exam was conducted on 29th January,2012.

DEAR CANDIDATE,

The SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) exam is conducted by UPSC.for this exam candidates age should be in between 17 to 21 years.the qualification required for SCRA exam is 12th from a well recognized board or university.for applying for this exam candidate should have studied PCM subjects in his 12th.
The candidate got selected in this exam undergoes four year mechanical engineering.
