Special Class Railway Apprentices(SCRA) Exam is conducted every by
the UPSC for the selection of candidates in mechanical department
of Indian Railway.

Candidate applying for the SCRA exam will require the following eligibility
criteria:

Education Qualification
10+2 pass with mathematics and at least one of the subject physics or
chemistry are eligible to apply for the SCRA exam.

Candidate appearing in the 12th exam are also eligible to apply for the
SCRA exam.

AGE LIMIT
For the SCRA exam the candidate age should be between 17 to 21 years.

SCRA examination is held only once in a year. SCRA is Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination.
the eligibility criterion for SCRA examination is candidate should have first or second division in 12th or equivalent examination with atleast one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

the age of the candidate must be in between 17years to 21 years for general category candidate. there is 5years of age relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST candidate.
