Information About SCRA Examination.

Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission in behalf of the Ministry of Railway for the admission in the mechanical department of the Indian Railway. If you are interested in the SCRA examination then after completing 12th class with PCM you can apply for the SCRA exam.

As per your question for the online application form you need to pay Rs.100 either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI cash or by using the net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa / Master cridet / Debit Card. The Female / SC / ST / PH candidates are exempted from the examination fee.

for applying SCRA Online (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are
exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty Only)

For applying off line (through
Common Application Form) are required
to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)

How much amount should be drafted for SCRA Exam?

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice exam and is conducted once a year by UPSC .

Notifications for SCRA-2012 has already published by UPSC on the official website of upsc that is http://www.upsc.gov.in

For applying online please visit http://www.upsconline.nic.in

Note - Candidates applying online (except Female/Sc/St/Ph) are required to pay a fee of Rs 50 not Rs 100.



Last date for Receipt of application is 21st november 2011 till 11:59 P.M

Important Dates :

• Issue of application form - 15th Oct 2011 to 14th Nov 2011
  
• Exam Date -29th Jan 2012.

There are two ways to apply for the SCRA exam - Online & Offline.

For applying through offline mode you need to purchase the form from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.

You are not required to make any DD to pay the application fee. Instead an application fees of Rs.50/- is to be paid through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only for the candidates applying through Offline method.

Application fee is Rs. 25 for Online method to be paid in any branch of SBI by cash or by using Net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/ Master Credit/Debit Card.
