APPLICABILITY
The rates of Pay and Allowances specified here are applicable to all Commissioned Officers, Midshipmen and Sailors of the Indian Navy. PAY SCALE - OFFICERS S. As far as iam concerned during the initial period of training a stipend of rs.3200 is given per month and in later terms of training throughout ships rs 8000 is provided...
After u have attained the commission as a sailor you are entitled to get the full pay and it is around rs. 20000 at starting from which around rs 6000 goes into yuor various funds like for your pension and for other facilities and it is upon you how much you want to submit... |

This thing you can easily check out on the Indian Navy's official website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in...
Otherwise i thing if you are going through MR or NMR entries you will get around Rs. 10000-15000...with other allowances... |

I was also having the same question to ask when i passed my SSR exam...
There is not much to compare b/w the two as both are Sailor entries... But as far as i know if you want to study more, Artificer Apprentice is a better option... According to my knowledge...in SSR you will get a six month training at INS Chilika and then will be allotted any branch like Electrical,Aviation e.t.c...and will start out from a lower rank.... Whereas In AA entry you will do a 2 month training at INS Chilika and then will have to do Diploma in one of the Engineering Branch for 3 years...and after which you will start out with a higher rank than SSR... But anyhow both are equally opportunistic and very good entries... |
