IAS :Indian Administrative services This is the top class civil service job among the indian civil services . The salary range from nearly 16000 to 90000 Indian Rupees depending upon their position. actually after getting selected to this Indian Administrative service you will be given training. after completing your traing only you will get the posting in your cadre as a Junior Officer. After 6th Pay commission IAS officers are getting nice handsome pays along with all their regular benefits. The salary structures for IAS Officers will be based on Various Pay Scales like ->Junior Scale ->Senior Scales. ->SUper Time Scale ->Above Super Time Scale. Each scale will again have various pay bands. As Junior Scale Officer Pay band is Rs 15600-39100 with 5400 as grade pay. Senior Scales : Senior Time scale: after certail experience you will get promoted to this scale. here payband is Rs.15600-39100 with 6600 as grade pay. Junior Administrative Grade pay is 7600/- with the constant pay band as above. Selection grade officer will get a hike in salary with Rs.37400-67000 with 8700 as grade pay. Super Time Scale at this position the pay is Rs.37400-67000 with 10000 as gradepay. Next comes the superior time scale i.e., Above Super Time Scale. there are three pay bands in this scale. ->Rs.37400-67000 Grade pay of Rs.12000 ->Pay scale of 80000 Fix. ->Cabinet Secretary grade of 90000 Fix. No grade pay will be given to this scale officer. Apart from these figures an IAS officer can expect a lot of perks to enjoy. for example Electricity bills. phone bills. House rent. water bills. transportation. all these expenses are also exempted for IAS officer. That's why this job has that craze among the youth. if you are true aspirant don't dream more and start working for this No.1 position in the country. all the very best. Regards

A fresh IAS would fetch around 35,000 and senior most rank around 1,00,000. A large chunk of the salary is taken back by the government as income tax. But you enjoy status, security and allownces.
Most painful aspect of being an IAS is to be posted assistant to some foolish politician and that you can't avoid. |
