I have been selected for the short service commission in general service entry ie G(S)X the training of which is going to start from JAN 2011.I have cleared the medical and now i am waiting for the declaration of the merit list.Actually i wanted to become a pilot in INDIAN NAVY but missed the advertisement for the pilot entry. Since I was about to cross the age limit , I applied for the general service .
So I would like to know whether it is possible to become a pilot after joining the INDIAN NAVY in general service cadre and how slim are the chances since there are fever fighter planes in NAVY compared to airforce. At this point , I would like to add that i have already cleared
PABT but got conference out in the first attempt for SSC pilot Entry in INDIAN AIRFORCE.
