this is very Good Query. IIT is One of the most Leading Examination in India for Engineering Courses.
Many Students want to take admission in IIT Colleges.
IIT Conducts Entrance Examination Every Year for Admission in IIT.

You want to know that what Rank Should Achieve for Getting Admission in NIT Colleges. IIT
Always Publish Cut-off Marks for Admission.
Cut-off marks is Different for Every Category.

If you Belong to Gen./OBC Category then your Cut-off Marks will High and if you belong to SC/ST then cut-OFF Marks is very low in comparison to Gen. Category.

you want to take admission in NIT Then you have to achieve Rank 3000 - 5000.
There are many Colleges of NIT.
you have to achieve rank Between 3000 - 5000.
If you get your rank in between this then you will get admission in NIT College.

Dear friend,

JEE Mains is the new name of the AIEEE Exam that was commenced by CBSE.

However, now also CBSE organizes JEE Mains with little changes.

The following changes are:

>> 40% weightage will be given to 12th Board Marks i.e. during preparation of Merit List, 40% marks of Board will be included.

>> JEE Mains is the gateway to JEE Advanced Exam. You will have to qualify JEE Mains Exam to sit in Advanced Exam.

JEE Mains has conducted already and about 13 lakh candidates had appeared for it.

Last year i.e. in 2011, 29,618 candidates secured seat in NITs, IIITs, CFIs, etc. through AIEEE Exam.

So, if you want to secure NIT, your AIR must be below 20,000.

And, since you are a General Candidate, then under 10k is must for you to get NIT.

Upcoming JEE Mains Result will be declared on 7 May 2013.
