How much salary I can get after completion of B.Tech in IT?......

Salary is dependent on the job profile and the company that you join. For public sector companies you can expect an initial salary of Rs 18000-22000. This normally does not include HRA and other benefits. In private sector companies you can join as a software programmer, analyst, testing engineer etc. Normally starting salary is Rs 20000 to 25000. Salaries are also dependent on the academic record and subject knowledge.

Generally B.Tech freshers in any stream gets around 20,000-25,000 rupees. With time that will only increase depending upon the effort that you put in.

The IITians gets a little more than that perhaps. But since its very difficult now-a-days to get jobs outside the campus so i would recommend you to go for colleges with good placement records.

B.Tech in IT is a technical related stream with the duration of 4 years.

Soon after the completion of this course, the candidates are having good number of job opportunities in variety of IT Companies like

The salary that you will be offered will depend upon
-the kind of company in which you get job
-the kind of job profile that you get

If you are placed in MNCs with good job profile, you may get a salary ranges between 2.4 lakhs to 15 lakhs.

If you get job in ordinary company, then you will get a salary ranges between 1.2 lakhs to 2.4 lakhs.

So, try to get job in MNCs to have good salary and career scope.

I have seen candidates taking 12 lakhs package from Microsoft even though they are freshers.

The selection procedure for many of the IT jobs is by
-Written Exam
-Technical round
-HR round

In addition, some companies will also conduct JAM and Group Discussion.

Each and every round is having its own importance and the utmost importance is for technical round.

So, try to be strong enough in subject knowledge and enhance communication skills to get a good job.
