i am interested in defense service. But i dont know how to prepare for combined defense service and also iam in need of the material. will you please provide the guidelines and also material for me.

How do I prepare of OTA ?

`No one knows how many marks are needed to get through the written exam except the concerned people. In my view, you gotta score more marks in maths. if you can score around 80% marks in the maths exam and 70% marks in english then you can cover up the GK part. The GK part wil be mostly the current affairs and history and geography and the conventional gk questions.. I am giving the exam this time too... Wish you all All the best////

for gk u must read any competitive magzines of last 6 months,for science and other subject you must have basic knowledge or you can purchase any general knowledge book, which may cot you around 100 bucks (like arihant).....and for english you can consider wren and martin.....

I am Anchal Srivastava, pursuing aba.tech(Biotech)- 4th yr, is keen interested in Combined Defence Services. May I know how to prepare for the examination and about the study material? Is there any requirement of coaching for this? Kindly suggest me.

I HAVE GATE EXAM ON THE SAME DATE CDS 2012 IS CONDUCTING. WHAT TO DO?

Two exams on same date! i faced the same last year (CDS vs IBPS). I contacted both the org's and was replied as no change in date of exam.
UPSC says it has constructed its calendar before 6months and change is not possible.
IBPS are unbending, so you have to decide about your age criteria for CDS, if you can write this year end then you better go for GATE
