Study material to be referred for IAS entrance exam? How to prepare for it?
sir,..i hav jst passed my 12th class...frm science stream(non med) and now i am willing to prepare for IAS examination,so can you please help me out by telling me about the study material(books and other sources) for IAS pre and mains individually....and plz also tell me how shud i prepare?...and wat shud i choose for graduation????

UPSC conducted every year the IAS exam.See at first complete your graduation and then prepare for IAS examination. This examination is divided into two parts.These are.. 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Main Exam. Main exam is further divided into two categories. These are .. a. Written test b. Personal Interview(PI) => after graduation you will be eligible. Forms are available in head post office.Notification is published in between 3rd week of November and 1st week of December. A candidate can apply for the IAS exam through civil service examination. This examination is conducted by the UPSC every year. To apply for this examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university.
Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination. The IAS exam is based on the following pattern Paper-I One of the Indian Languages to be selected by the candidate from the 18 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution (Qualifying Paper) is of 300 Marks Paper-II English (Qualifying Paper) is of 300 Marks Paper-III Essay is of 200 Marks Papers IV & V General Studies (300 Marks for each paper) and total of 600 Marks You can study the following books for the preparation of the IAS examination: |

SIR, I AM A STUDENT OF B.COM(HONS) IN 1st year and doing from regular. i want to be prepared for the ias pre. exam
kindly suggest me books for my preparation and there is any need of 1-12th classes ncert . please suggest me about the basics books firstly bcz i want to crack pre. exam in first attempt. i have plenty of time as i have 2 years.in 2 years i will prepare all what you will suggest me |

Civil Services Exam is an all India exam to recruit Candidates in the Civil Service field , Basic requirement is you should have at least a Bachelors degree.
