• A candidate should have completed their graduation with atleast 50% from Recognized Universities
  
• He must be citizens of INDIA.

Age limite:

• For Indian Military Academy : 19 to 24 years
• For Air Force Academy : 19 to 23 years

hi I am Rohit and cleared cds-II 2012 and cds-I 2013 without any preparation .. yes without anyyyy preparation and got call to attent ssb in Allahabad. I have completed my btech this year so point is my GK is very week as commonly believed that engineers have week GK but math & english are average.
The maths Qs are very elementry or basic types so no need to worry.

The only mantra to clear this 9 hr duration exam is - ATTEMPT EVERY PAPER IN SEVERAL ROUNDS AND CHOOSE AND ATTEMPT ONLY EASY Qs.
First round has to be fast..go thro Q.s from starting and give time to those which you find easy and just skip others but also keep on marking Qs like E for easy D for difficult etc etc than in subsequent round go to Qs which you have marked as easy and still need to b done.

Baseline of the story is you have to make only 40% of total Qs.
Especially for GK my strategy was to go thro all 120 Qs and keep doing which ever comes easy so this way I can get 20 Qs in my hand without a guess but for some Qs you can guess in the end.

CDS exam has four wings:-

***Indian naval academy,

***Indian airforce academy,

***Indian military academy,

***Officer training academy.

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate must have to complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university.

Final year exams appearing candidates may also eligible and there is no percentage restrictions for this exam.

Male and female both are eligible for this exam.

You must be a citizen of india.

You should be physically fit.


Age criteria:-

***For naval academy--> 19 to 22years,

***For airforce academy--> 19 to 23 years,

***for military academy-->19 to 24 years,

***For medicser training academy--> 19 to 25 years.

***No age relaxation.

Selection process:-

Personal interview.

CDS stands for the Combined defense services.It is held twice every year by the UPSC .

It has two stages :

1.Written test

2.Service selection board.

You can apply for the exam if you have bachelor's degree or you are in final year of it.

The age limit is 19-25 years .Both the unmarried male and female candidates are allowed to apply for the exam.

Physically fitness along with Indian citizen ship is necessary .
