i want to qualify gate exam for admission in m.tech course in ant NIT. how should i preapre, i am persuading b.tech.

Aim for taking GATE exam varies from candidate to candidate. Students from private engineering colleges try to get into M.Tech. from some IIT or equivalent institution. But for them a very high percentile is essentile.

GATE exam is conducted by the IIT's and IISC, Bangalore. There are many private institutions and coachings like MADE EASY etc. that organize the classes for specially GATE aspirants. You can join any of them for your gate preparation even in your final year of B.Tech. They will give you proper guidance for preparing for GATE exam.

Some tips for preparation for GATE exam:

1. Normally 3 to 4 months of serious study should be sufficient for preparation. Students in the final year have to properly schedule their studies in order to not to disturb their semester studies.

2. In the first run study all the topics as per syllabus.

3. In the revision stage concentrate more on selected topics.

4. Try to solve papers of previous years. This will give you an idea about the mismatch between the actual paper and your level of preparation.

5. Fill up the gap by extra studies.

6. Try to take up practice tests.
