How to prepare for the mathematical reasoning questions for competitive exams? Like the below, what is the answer for it? How to solve it?
Hukum secured 32% marks in IAS exam and failed by 12 marks and sidherth secured 42% .marks and got 28 marks more then the required marks. Find the maximum marks? |

In the question above we can apply the very basic concept of linear equations as shown below: Let maximum marks be x, then above problem can be viewed as .32x + 12 = p and .42x - 28 = p here p stands for pass marks then subtracting above two equations, we get x = 400. so maximum marks are 400. |
