I am b.tech second year student how should praparing the gate exam?

hi,
1st you should take care of all your subjects up to final year.Now you are in second year so, you should concentrate on all of concerned subjects with concepts.After you enter 3rd year start focus on your core subjects of gate.Read all your subject books conceptually, don't mug up the subjects while studying.To get a good rank in gate u need to practice all previous papers of gate,or go for standard book like J.B Gupta for bit bank.Solve all bits with the help of your standard books.
gate paper consist of 25 one mark questions,26 to 55 two mark questions and after that you are having aptitude& english of 10 marks.For the non technical part u need to follow R.S Agarwal daily.Maths plays a vital role so please try to follow B.S Grewal book.

it is good that you are preparing for the GATE exam from 2nd year itself.

firstly you need to concentrate on the core subjects of your stream and enhance your technical knowledge/skills.

second , you should get access to previous year papers of GATE exam and solve them.
this will give you a good idea of the exam.

and you should prepare for he exam as per the pattern of the exam which is given below-

I can advise you one thing..........you should prepare very well overall B.tech core subjects

So if you are studying b.tech 2nd year you can so many chances to prepare GATE syllabus

If you are concentrate English skill or aptitude reasoning At the first stage of preparation

Then after you can prepare core subjects and over all b.tech carrier.......

Final year you can take a coaching for GATE exam.........
