IAF forms for technical branch of IAF?
i read the free press of 14 march n came to about the details of technical branch of iaf,can any one plzz let me know about the form format as i m not able to find it on the website and its last date for submission is 10 april.currently m in 3rd yr of B.E.(I.T.)

forms are issued in the employment newspaper. so just check out the employment newspaper you will certainly get the form from there. all the best. |

read employment newspaper their is information about it Last date for the receipt of application: 14 April 2010. eligibility Candidates should have born between 2 January 1983 and 1 January 1993. Candidates are required to have Degree in Engineering in Electronics/Telecom/Electrical/Electronics and Communication/Instrumentation/Computer Science branch from recognized institute or university. No. of posts: Several posts are available in Indian Air Force. visit the official site |

some of the entrances are:
1. NDA: It has a 3 years' course before one is inducted as a Pilot Trainee at the Air Force Academy, Qualifications: Class 12 with Physics and Maths. Age: 16-19 years. 2. Air Force Academy (CDSE): Qualifications: B.Sc with Physics and/or Maths or BE. Age: 19-23 years. 3. 3. NCC: Qualifications: B.Sc with Physics and/or Maths and a C certificate of the NCC Air Wing. Age: 19-23 years. 4. Flying Branch (Transport/Helicopter pilots): Age: 19-23 years, relaxable to 25 years for those holding Commercial Pilot License. Applications are called by AIR HQ followed by SSB Interview. 5. Technical Branch (Aeronautical Engineering: Electronics or Mechanical): Qualifications: BE/B.Tech/Degree with PCM. 6. Ground Duty Branch: Qualifications: First class graduate or second class post-graduate. Age: 20-23 years for post-graduates. Entrance through SSB Interview. B.Com/M.Com graduates can apply for Accounts Branch. In Meteorological branch, the qualifications required is M.Sc |

Technical Branch
An Engineer can apply as an officer in any of the Aeronautical engineering streams such as Electronics and Mechanical of the Technical Branch via Direct Entry Scheme or University Entry Scheme either on Permanent commission (only for men) or Short Service commission (for men and women). One can join the Technical Branch through Direct Entry Scheme, only after completing engineering. Both men and women can use this mode of entry to apply to the Indian Air Force. One can join the Technical Branch through University Entry Scheme, when you are still in your final or Pre-final year of Engineering. You will be entitled to a stipend during your final year. Those selected for Permanent Commission would receive a Flying Officer's basic pay as stipend, while those selected for Short Service Commission would receive half that amount. The basic pay of a Flying Officer is Rs. 8250/- per month. The University Entry scheme is open only to men. Common Eligibility criteria for the Aeronautical Engineering Streams of the Technical Branch: Age - 18 to 28 years Marital Status- Single Nationality- Indian Gender- The 'Direct entry scheme' is applicable to both men and women but the 'University entry scheme' is applicable only to women. |
