IPS stands for Indian Police Service and for becoming an IPS officer one of the higher post in the administrative field you will have to clear Civil Service examination held by Union Public Service Commission once every year.
--> The minimum eligibility criteria for appearing in the same examination are as her under :- * You must have the citizenship of India. * Your age must be within 21 years to 32 years in case you belong to general category otherwise there is provision of age relaxation for reserved category as per the government norms. * You must have completed your graduation degree course with any subject from a regular or open recognized university. Note :- For few wings of Civil Services ( such as IPS, etc.) physical fitness are also required as per the government norms. --> Also the same examination is held in three stages which includes Preliminary Test, Mains and Personal Interview respectively.
