Re: How to become ACP in crime branch? What is the first step?
One who wishes to join Crime Branch has to join Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) .One can get into CBI by two ways; one at the level of class 1 officer as an IPS offcer and other at the level of sub inspector of CBI .
In order to become ACP in crime branch, you have to first become an IPS officer. ACP stands Assistant Commissioner of Police. There is not any direct recruitment available for the post of ACP.The post of ACP is filled by IPS officers. IPS officers get ACP rank through promotion. To become an IPS officer, one has to write Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC every year. The eligibility criteria for the civil services exam are as under:- -The candidate must be a citizen of India. -The candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized college or university with any percentage. -The candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general category.Age is relaxed for OBC by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. -Civil Services exam constitutes three parts: * Preliminary Exam . * Main Exam. * Interview . |
